Colourpop, thank you!

Let’s try this again, shall we.  I published this last week, but I scheduled it for a two weeks ago instead of the present date. So if you signed up to receive my emails and clicked on this post , it didn’t appear. Let’s hope this re-post fixes that problem.

Sooooooooooooo I have a slight obsession with Colourpop and heres why.

  1. The quality is amazing!
  2. Its affordable!
  3. For an online store, their customer service is great!

If you read my 2015 Beauty Favorites you know a little bit about my Colourpop obsession. I made two purchases last year for their liquid lipsticks and in the past few months I placed two more orders for their eyeshadows and lippie stix.

For those of you makeup lovers that have been living under a rock the past two years, Colourpop is an online makeup company based out of California. Almost all of their products are vegan and they all range from $6-$8. Shipping is standard- $5, but free for all orders over $30. First time customers who subscribe for their mailing list get $5 off your first order! All in all, their makeup won’t break the bank. Their customer service is amazing. Orders take about 1 day to process and 3-5 days to arrive after shipping, if its around the time of a new product launch it will take longer. Each order comes with a hand written thank you note, which is adorable. They’re on every social media platform so I’m sure if you need to contact them you won’t have a hard time doing so.

I did some swatches of the eyeshadows and lipsticks, so I’m just going to talk about them along with some pictures!

The lipsticks

I used to have liquid lipstick obsession, but I hate how drying they are.  I had 6 liquid lipsticks, but I lost my favorite one- beeper. Because its a liquid lipsticks its drying so it’s best to apply a decent layer of chapstick before. It will take about a minute to dry, and after that its smudge proof. Of course, if you eat or drink it will eventually wear off, but overall it lasts pretty long.

IMG_1691.jpgThis lippie stix is limited edition, but its the only one I have. This color looks exactly like RiRi Woo from MAC, but its very moisturizing! I’ll definitely buy more.

The eyeshadows! HHHOOOOHHHHEEEMMMMMMMMGGGGGEEEE

I don’t know why it took me so long to buy these shadows. Its ridiculously pigmented. I swatched the colors with one swipe, thats it. I apply them with my fingers, but I use a blending brush for the shadows in my crease. I was so suprised when I first swatched it. It feels like a wet, memory foam pillow case. It sounds weird, but its pretty cool. lol So lets get into these swatches!!!

L-R: Rex, Drift, Hammered, Central Perk, Porter, Coconut $5

Rex– “Black drenched with multiple shades of blue glitter, to be perfectly honest, this shadow is just downright badass. No description needed.” (The descriptions are directly from the site!)

I usually use this on my lid, but I haven’t played around with it too much.

Drift: Pop this true cranberry in a pearlized finish on your eyes and you may notice some attractive men drifting your way

IMG_1659.jpg
This is another great lid color, I can definitely see this in the crease, too!

Hammered: Get turnt up with a smoky olive with tons of gold glitter and a soft sprinkle of multi-colored sparkles in a metallic finish – or at least know you won’t ever get turnt down while wearing it.

IMG_1663.jpg
This one is my second favorite. I’ve used it more than anything else!

Central Perk: Throw on this dirty maroon in a Matte finish before meeting your friend, Princess Consuela Bananahammock, at your favorite coffee joint.

IMG_1667.jpg
I use this is in my crease. With all of these shadows, a little goes a long way
Porter: A warm burgundy with gold multi- dimensional gold glitter on top in a Metallic finish
IMG_1669.jpg
Coconut:Bright peacock teal in a Pearlized finish. We’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts…twiddly dee.

This one is by far my favorite! I’m obsessed 😍

BlushesI’ve been wearing one blush color since I started wearing makeup in high school. Its just not something I care too much about, but I decided to branch out. I’ve been looking for a rich, burgundy color and this one is perfecttttt! Definitely brown girl friendly!

  1. Oh man…. This photo alone makes me want to shop! I’ve had a cart on Colourpop.com a time or two but never made a purchase. I’ve been dying to try their matte lipsticks.
