Well, here we are. Seven weeks later. My summer in the city has officially come to an end.
By the time you’re reading this, I’ll be making my way through the New York City traffic. I’ll Also be praying that I don’t miss my flight!
There’s a lot I can say about this summer, but I’ll keep it short. I went through so much emotionally, and the funny thing is, it wasn’t really related to my job in the city. I met some amazing people that I would love to stay in contact with. And in a weird, but beautiful way, my relationship and friendships back home became so much stronger.
I try not to regret my decisions, but there a few things I wish I could’ve done during the past seven weeks. I’ve been saying to myself the past few days “If only you had more time….” At first I was a bit, sad but I know I’ll be back. I will make wonderful memories with the people I love, in the city I love to hate. That’ll mean more to me than anything else.
Thank you New York for the good the bad and the ugly. For everything that makes you, you.
