It has been a year and a half since I graduated law school, and a year since I started my first full-time legal job. Prior to May 2018, I was in school for most of my life. I went to college months after high school graduation, and to law school months after my college graduation. Being a student, is all I have known. So last year, was a huge transition for me.Continue reading “I’m done with school . . . now what?”
After sitting for the bar, law school grads typically go on a “bar trip” to celebrate completing three years of law school and surviving the bar. My Fiancé (then boyfriend) and I initially planned a two week vacation to Europe, but with the start of my new job (which included a move to Philadelphia), we had to rework our plans.
My Fiancé travels for work, so we were able to book our tickets to Europe with points. Thankfully, he was able to cancel the flights and re-book for earlier dates to Hawaii! After researching the “calmest Hawaiian island,” we decided to travel to Maui. Maui is described as the place you to go relax; thats exactly what we needed for two reasons. First, we flew out the day after I took the bar. Second, after the trip, we had about two days to pack up the apartment and move to Philly.Continue reading “Bar trip to Hawaii!”
I’m a pretty private person, so I debated on what I’d include in this post. I decided to keep it simple, and include a brief story and my favorite pictures from our proposal.
My Fiancé Sam and I decided to go to Italy for our annual spring trip. We spent five days traveling between Rome, Florence and Venice. Five days was not enough time, so we definitely plan to go back.
Everyone swore up and down that Sam would propose in Italy. I was convinced he would after we got back to Philly. I was wrong!Continue reading “Proposal in Venice, Italy”
Its safe to say that millenials love to travel. I can’t scroll through any social media sites without seeing my peers in Europe, the Caribbean, Iceland (yes Iceland), or places around the US. I’m one of those millenials!
In 2017, my Fiancé and I traveled to Barbados—our first international trip—and it honestly felt like we were going home because we’re both Caribbean. We spent five days exploring the island and seeing what Barbados has to offer.Continue reading “Our trip to Barbados in 2016”
Hello, I’m Tisha.
To my faithful followers from 2015: I’m still alive and well. To my new followers: girlllllll you’re in for a treat—I have a lot to blog about. Now lets get to it, shall we?
Since my last post: I’ve graduated law school, moved out of Columbus, Ohio, started my first full-time legal job, passed the bar exam, turned 25, and got engaged. A lot right? I cannot discuss each of these moments in one post, so I will blog about them over the next few months. I’ll also be blogging about my favorite things (skincare, makeup, fashion, natural hair), mental health, physical fitness, and my travel adventures (I might include a few posts about being a black woman in corporate America).
What would you all like to read about? Leave a comment down below; I’d love to know.
Wellllllll hellloooo there!!!
If you haven’t been living under a rock, then you know about the absolutely amazing Morphe and Jaclyn Hill Palette!!
I was a bit hesitant to purchase this when it first came out , but I’m so happy I did! It’s probably my favorite palette at the moment. All the colors are extremely pigmented, super blendable, and most importantly (to me) brown girl friendly!
Ive been playing around with the palette for a few days now and below are a few pictures of my most recent looks !
Well hello there!
A year ago I started the Fall Makeup series on the blog, and I wanted to keep it going! This post, as you can tell from the title, is an intro into Fall 2016 makeup trends. As usual, I will include step by step pictures and linking the products I used. (My lighting tried to play me, but I kept pushing. )
Hey all! This post is going to be a little different because its kind of sponsored. I never thought I’d actually be saying that. lol For those that don’t know, there is a company called Influenster that sends complementary products for testing purposes, with a decently sized social media following. That includes instagram, facebook, twitter, blog, youtube, etc. First your sign up, link your social media accounts, and based on your interests and your social media presence, Influenster will send you emails asking a few questions to determine if you’re a good fit for a certain campaign. So far I’ve received two influenster boxes- a ralph lauren fragrance box and the most recent one, an Ole Henriksen box.
I’ve been MIA and I am mad at myself for that. This year I set a blogging goal and I was so close to meeting it sooner than expected. My blog was getting more attention than I ever thought it would without any outside promotion of my own! I had so many blog ideas; I started them, saved them, and never posted them. Why? Well, between law school, working this summer and plain ‘ole laziness, I didn’t have time or energy to blog. So to those of you that are still loyal (LOL), here’s a life/month by month update.
Hey all!! I know its been a minute, but lets look past that lol. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past month, you know all about the🍾 Champagne Glow Palette by Becca Cosmetics and Jaclyn Hill! 🍾 Of course, I had to have it. I didn’t get Champagne Pop when it originally came out, so this time around it was a no-brainer. The palette includes two highlighters: champagne pop and prosecco pop, and three blushes: amaretto, pampelmousse and rose spritz. It is sold out on Sephora.com, but there might be some in stock in a Sephora near you (I sound like a sales person haha)! It is limited edition, so once its gone, its not coming back. Here are a few swatches of the palette and some pictures with me wearing Champagne pop!
I will say, I didn’t notice much of a difference between champagne pop and prosecco pop. Maybe when I actually put it on, the true colors will come through. Enjoy!! 😊😊
